I want to start with a congrats to my brother Shaun who just found out this week he is going to Scotland on his mission! We are so happy for him! Except that he has to wait until May before he leaves.

So when Cohen was 1 1/2 years old he got this for Christmas...

The day after Christmas, he rolled it down two stairs and had to get stitches...

So just last week I was washing Paityn's face and at the same time she was trying to get away from me, well she slipped out of my hands and fell forward hitting her chin right on the tub and splitting it open, and had to get stitches. The sad thing is I am already getting used to this kind of stuff, I looked at it and knew right away that she needed stitches, but I didn't panic like I did when Cohen had to get them, it was just like any other day.

So I know one thing I am thankful for this year is that we are able to have insurance while Ryan is in school, we have had a lot of things happen and I don't know how we would've done it all without having insurance
This week I was also able to go to my grandparents cabin in Malad, Idaho with my family, (we left Ryan behind of course so he could have some peace and quiet to study for finals) We had a blast, it was like a snowy retreat out in the middle of nowhere almost, but we watched our favorite Christmas movie from when I was little- One Magic Christmas, went snowmobiling and played in the snow, and then to the hot pots at Lava. My camera just wasn't working very well in the cold, so I will have to get some copies from my mom and maybe I will get around to posting them...Maybe :)
I tried to get a good picture of us watching One Magic Christmas, I love that show it is so cute!Merry Christmas to everyone! Hope you are all enjoying the holidays!

So the other day Paityn pulled an apple out of my fridge and just started eating it and she loved it! Then Cohen came over and kept taking it from her, as you can see from one of the pictures, she was mad that he kept taking it, so I got him his own. I thought they were being so cute, so I took a couple pictures and thought I would share!

Our lives have been crazy the past couple months, at the end of July we found out that Ryan got accepted as a transfer student to the U of U, so within a week we packed up and left Lincoln, NE to move back to Utah. We stayed with Ryan's sister for a couple weeks while we looked for a place to live, and finally found a nice apartment in Bountiful that we love! We have stayed really busy, we went to the Uintah's, Flaming Gorge and last weekend was my Saunders Family Reunion, which is 4 days of camping and spending time with a huge family where you don't know half the people, but it is always fun and I have always loved going to it! Things didn't go so well with Paityn at it though, on Sunday she had a fever so I just thought that she was probably teething because she has been doing that a lot lately, but Monday she was still bad and then I noticed a hard spot on her bum. She has had these before, about 6 months ago she had 2 in a row, but I was able to get rid of them on my own, well this one just kept getting bigger, and she was in pain, so on Tuesday I took her to Insta-care and they sent me to the ER from there. Turns out she had an abcess so they had to sedate her and cut into it and drain it. And on top of that she has MRSA, which is a staph infection that can only be treated with certain antibiotics. We ended up spending the night at Primary Childrens, but luckily they let me take her home the next day. That is good and bad because I have to change the packing everyday, and I have to give her the antibiotic 3 times a day for 14 days and from what I hear it is pretty nasty! She has been such a trooper through all of this though, and Cohen has been staying with his grandparents, so hopefully we will get to see him soon! So there is a little update on our family, I will try to start posting again more often.

Petting Zoo

Cohen went on a wild stallion ride and fed the billy goats and Paityn had fun chillin in the stroller and enjoying the lovely smell of the barnyard.

SUPER - COHEN TO THE RESCUE

Cohen has a lot of fun playing superhero. He is convinced that his magic powers can zap and turn into smoke any puma or snake that lies await in the Stanger household. He has a uncanny skill of finding them and getting them before we even know they are there.....thank goodness for his superpowers.

Swagbucks

So lately I have been all about saving money and a couple weeks ago I started doing Swagbucks. Go here to find out more about it, but you basically do searches on it and it uses Google and Ask.com and you win Swagbucks, when you have enough you can get giftcards, etc with it. I am working towards getting a Target giftcard. It is so easy, you don't have to do anything but search for things on the internet!

Happy Birthday Cohen!

Cohen is turning 3 years old! We can't believe it, it has gone so fast, here are some pictures of him as a baby, and some that my friend Jana took just a couple weeks ago. We love you Cohen!
